Literacy Improvement for Transformation Act of 2026

To authorize the Administrator of the General Services Administration, in coordination with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, to establish a pilot program and a grant program administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to facilitate the sale or transfer of underutilized Federal property to eligible entities for economic redevelopment, and for other purposes.

This bill would authorize the General Services Administration (GSA) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to create programs for selling or transferring unused federal properties to qualified buyers for redevelopment purposes. The goal is to put underutilized government-owned land back into productive economic use.

To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to modify the excise tax on remittance transfers, and for other purposes.

To amend the Indian Tribal Regulatory Reform and Business Development Act of 2000 to transfer certain administrative responsibilities to the Secretary of the Interior.

To direct the Director of the National Science Foundation to carry out activities to support biotechnology workforce pathways and alignment with Federal research investments, and for other purposes.

To permit the transfer of United States defense articles and defense services among the Baltic states.

Secret Service Transfer Act of 2026

Transportation Security Administration Transfer Act of 2026

This bill would eliminate the position of TSA Administrator and transfer all Transportation Security Administration functions to the Secretary of Transportation. The Secretary would then oversee airport security, baggage screening, and other TSA operations that are currently managed independently.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to "Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2024-02: Deceptive Marketing Practices About the Speed or Cost of Sending a Remittance Transfer".

This bill uses a congressional disapproval process to block the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from withdrawing guidance about deceptive marketing practices related to money transfer services. The bill would keep the CFPB's 2024-02 guidance in effect, which requires companies to be honest about how fast and how much it costs to send remittance transfers (money sent to family or friends abroad).

To amend title 23, United States Code, to provide for resilience grants for strengthening, upgrading, or improving municipal piers under the Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation program, and for other purposes.

To direct the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a study on ways to increase opportunities for 1890 Institutions to conduct educational programs and provide technical assistance with respect to issues relating to the transfer of agricultural land and assets, including heirs property, to the next generation of farmers and ranchers, and for other purposes,.

Barona Group of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians Land Transfer Act of 2026

This bill would transfer specific parcels of land in California into federal trust status on behalf of the Barona Group of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians. Land held in federal trust for Native American tribes is typically exempt from state and local taxation and can be used for tribal governmental and economic purposes.

To provide for the transfer of administrative jurisdiction over certain Federal land in the State of California, and for other purposes.
