Affordable Housing Construction Act

To authorize the Administrator of the General Services Administration, in coordination with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, to establish a pilot program and a grant program administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to facilitate the sale or transfer of underutilized Federal property to eligible entities for economic redevelopment, and for other purposes.

This bill would authorize the General Services Administration (GSA) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to create programs for selling or transferring unused federal properties to qualified buyers for redevelopment purposes. The goal is to put underutilized government-owned land back into productive economic use.

To increase the supply of, and lower rents for, affordable housing and to assess calculations of area median income for purposes of Federal low-income housing assistance, and for other purposes.

This bill aims to increase affordable housing availability and reduce rental costs by modifying how federal low-income housing programs calculate area median income (AMI) thresholds. The legislation addresses both the supply of affordable units and the eligibility criteria used to determine who qualifies for federal housing assistance.

To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to jointly award grants for the purposes of improving access to, developing, or expanding services that provide an individual with transportation to or from substance use disorder treatment or supportive services.

Improving Self-Sufficiency of Families in HUD-Subsidized Housing Act

To require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to establish a renter outreach resource, and for other purposes.

To establish a pilot program for the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to evaluate the effectiveness of insuring mortgages made to finance improvements to convert basement spaces into safely habitable dwelling units, and for other purposes.

This bill would create a pilot program allowing the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to insure mortgages for homeowners who want to convert basements into safe, livable apartments or dwelling units. The program would test whether this approach helps increase affordable housing supply while ensuring safety standards are met.

To prohibit the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from authorizing the exchange of information pertaining to the immigration status of any individual.

To require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to conduct an improper payment assessment for project-based and tenant-based assistance, and for other purposes.

This bill requires the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assess improper payments in two major housing assistance programs: project-based assistance (subsidies tied to specific properties) and tenant-based assistance (vouchers that follow tenants). The goal is to identify and reduce instances where funds are paid incorrectly or to ineligible recipients.

To authorize the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to prioritize the award of certain housing grants to applicants located in, or serving, low-income communities.

Affordable Housing Bond Enhancement Act

A bill to require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Secretary of Agriculture to withdraw a final determination relating to energy efficiency standards for housing, and for other purposes.

To direct the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to establish procedures for reporting of condemned Federally assisted rental housing and to authorize penalties related to such condemned housing, and for other purposes.

HUD-USDA-VA Interagency Coordination Act

Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2026

To direct the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Director of the Bureau of the Census to conduct a study and submit a report about how Federal agencies identify and record cases of housing loss in the United States, and for other purposes.

Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act of 2025

To direct the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to annually submit to the Congress a report that analyzes State and local strategies, activities, and plans that promote affordable housing, and for other purposes.

Affordable Housing Act

This bill expands the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, provides new grants to states for affordable housing construction, and streamlines zoning reform incentives to increase housing supply.
